CAREER SERVICES FOR YOUTH & YOUNG ADULTS

REALIZE YOUR DREAMS

What do you want to be when you grow up? You’ve been asked this a million times since you were a kid. If you’re one of the lucky ones, you’ve always known what you wanted to do and have a clear idea of how to get there. But if you’re like most teens, you find the what, when, where and how of university prep challenging—even overwhelming. If you’re still in high school, the pressure of making smart course planning choices for post-secondary gets added into the mix.

Relax! We’re here to help find your career direction. CareerWorks offers a range of vocational testing services to help you assess and illuminate your aptitudes, strengths and weaknesses, interests, skills, values and more. Our fees are fair and competitive, and each CareerWorks assessment package includes a confidential 60-minute meeting with a caring, professional career counsellor to discuss your results and create an action plan for your next steps. All our counsellors are certified to administer and interpret the assessment packages offered.

You’ll complete the four assessments online, then come in for a confidential 60-minute meeting with a professional CareerWorks counsellor. During this session, we’ll discuss your assessment results and create an action plan. Students are encouraged to bring parents to join in the private review session.

Are you a school counsellor or administrator? Please contact us for information on in-school group assessment packages.

Are you emotionally intelligent?

Emotional Intelligence (EQ) is the capacity to develop self-awareness, self-discipline and empathy, resulting in positive outcomes in your relationships with others, your health and your career. This assessment will show you where you function most effectively, where you have enhanced skills, and where there is room for improvement when it comes to emotional intelligence.

The EQ assessment is completed online and is followed by a confidential, in-person 60-minute meeting to discuss your results with a professional CareerWorks counsellor. Many people schedule subsequent in-person, telephone or video call appointments to delve more deeply into results.
